TEN MAJOR ISSUES WHICH HAVE LOWERED PRESIDENT OBAMAS RATINGS:

1. HEALTHCARE:

In response to President Obama's high priority request for National Health Care reorganization, a Democrat controlled Congress rushed through a poorly drafted healthcare bill full of hidden rules and earmarks. Many of the earmarks had nothing to do with healthcare and others simply would severely hurt the American people and business community in general. Obama spent the first two years of his presidency on his signature issue – Obamacare – and pushed through a brand of government-centric healthcare that a majority of Americans don’t want.

2. IMMIGRATION:

Under the Obama Administration, the U.S. Government failed to aggressively enforce immigration laws in force to stem the flood of illegal aliens crossing the borders of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California. When the State of Arizona passed a strong immigration law of its own in desperation, the Obama Administration accused the Arizona Immigration law as being racist and sued the State of Arizona.

3. ENERGY:

Reducing this country’s oil supply when prices at the gas pump have doubled during the Obama administration is hardly a good idea. Obama extended the shallow drilling ban areas in the Gulf of Mexico forcing oil companies to stay in deep water and continues to ban drilling in the untapped areas of Alaska.

4. JOBS:

Very little has been done to revitalize America's infrastructure (ie. roads and bridges) since Obama was elected. The promise of millions of shovel ready jobs never materialized and new deal like efforts to put America back to work was a pipe dream at best. Obama wasted precious time in addressing rising unemployment, relying on his failed stimulus program while the unemployment rate has risen during his administration. In fact, he has put thousands more Americans out of work with his moratorium on most drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. Obama flirtation with cap and trade threatened to destroy the coal industry, put tens of thousands of miners out of work and drive up the cost of electricity across the USA.

5. DEFICIT SPENDING and NATIONAL DEBT:

While we can't blame President Obama for the current economic crisis or the entire national debt, it is true that TARP was mishandled and misunderstood by the Obama Administration and that the nearly $1 trillion bailout bill was a total failure. Obama has led the country much further into debt, to the tune of $5 trillion of added deficits since he took office. Obama’s budget proposal for the 2012 fiscal year was an abdication of leadership. It raised spending and taxes, with no clear path towards real deficit reduction. It avoided entirely the issue of entitlements. Obama did not endorse any of the major elements of his own deficit commission’s deficit-reduction plan.

6. FOREIGN POLICY:

Allow the USA to illegally get involved in the politics of Egypt and Libya without first assessing the impact such interference would cause to the economy of the USA, the future of USA relationships with those countries and the overall impact and effect such interference would cause in the entire Mideast.

7. FORECLOSURE:

Failure to STOP and ANALYZE FORECLOSURES and mandate tough modifications lowering interest rates, granting forbearances and in some cases lowering principal balances. Obama allowed banks to have the upper hand through HAMP over struggling victims of the recession caused by the bank engineered housing bubble. Officially declare all subprime mortgages and negative amortizations mortgages illegal regardless of their current status.

8. RAISING TAXES:

Obama’s insistence that raising taxes is on the only way to balance the budget is hazy and unfocused. Obama insists that person or corporation earning $250,000 or more is rich and continues to put pressure on the middle class to pay most of the taxes. Taxes are always unpopular and raising taxes even more unpopular. Ending some loopholes such as tax free municipal bonds would go a long way to creating revenue. The public is clamoring for a diet and exercise approach, ie. budget reductions and taxing those who can actually afford to be taxed. Raise corporate tax rates and give liberal tax deductions to those companies who hire more employees.

9. GUN CONTROL:

Obama’s failed to oversee the ATF when it sold and encouraged the sale of guns and ammunition to Mexican drug lords. Obama has again jumped on the gun control bandwagon since the recent Gabrielle Giffords massacre in Arizona.

10. NATIONAL SECURITY:

President Obama’s tendency towards open immigration and his soft on Moslem approach to issues such as the New York Mosque proposed development near the 911 terrorist attack site have drawn harsh criticism.
